Task
Project 1 requires us to engage in a collaborative research process, focusing on native culture-inspired contemporary dance as a source of inspiration. We observe and document bodily movements through ethnographic drawings, including plan and elevation movement mapping, to derive meaning and deepen their understanding of the choreography. This analysis informs a form-making process to design a Choreography-Informed Envelope a space for dancing.

Reflection
Project 1 was an insightful exploration of the connection between movement, culture, and design. Observing and documenting choreography through ethnographic drawings deepened my understanding of how bodily movements can inspire spatial forms. The challenge of translating dance into a Choreography-Informed Envelope pushed me to think creatively and experiment with expressive, bodily-conscious design. This project highlighted the poetic potential of architecture and its ability to convey meaning through form and movement.
