Task
Project 2 involves group efforts to conduct a site visit and gather physical and cultural data through photography, sketching, CAD, and model-making. I was in the group of Researchers where we do in depth study of the 3 communities. Students will create a Site Chronicle that captures both site information and its genius loci. The findings will guide the design process for the final project. This task builds on the design methodology from Project 1 and prepares for its application in Project 3.

Reflection
Completing this project was a meaningful journey into understanding the genius loci of the site and the rich cultural tapestry of communities like the Baba Nyonya, Chetti, and Kristang. Through site visits and documentation, I gained a deeper appreciation of how cultural narratives and physical contexts shape a place. The process of creating the Site Chronicle and translating findings into a Formal + Spatial Manuscript sharpened my ability to integrate storytelling, spatial design, and architectural forms. This project reinforced the importance of connecting design to history, culture, and the lived experiences of people.
